In Partnership with Penn State Extension
This fall, WCHC is partnering with Penn State Extension to offer Dining with Diabetes, a program for adults with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, or those at risk—as well as their caregivers and families.
This hands-on series helps you build a strong foundation for managing diabetes through healthier cooking, meal planning, and lifestyle habits. Participants will receive a cookbook, health and nutrition fact sheets, and useful meal planning tools.
Sessions include food demonstrations, discussions, and practical strategies to help you:
✔ Plan healthy meals
✔ Manage or prevent type 2 diabetes
✔ Manage medications
✔ Incorporate physical activity
Program Dates: September 16, 23, 30, October 7, and January 6
Time: 5:30–7:00 PM
Location: First floor conference room, WCHC
Cost: $39 for the full series. Participants enrolled in SNAP, Medicare, Medicaid, or free/reduced lunch qualify for a 75% discount ($9.75).
